Kira founded ArtShortCut in 2007. She is a producer at heart and has produced, managed and curated many a thing, promoted artists and produced numerous events and concepts internationally and in Finland.
Having stepped away from her CEO position in September 2011 she has continued to work on a freelance basis for ASC by lecturing, teaching, producing, promoting as well as curating for ArtShortCut and other clients.
Her education is that of an art historian and she was directed by her interest in the art market and business models used in the arts to work at organisations such as Christie’s and The Art Fund in the UK and the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland. Her special focus has been in how the art market functions, how value in art is defined, in the marketing of arts and arts & business development. Today Kira is interested in long-term business based development in new industries. ASC was founded in London.

Johanna Wartio McEvoy – Director of Development, Partner

Johanna is a partner of ASC and is working in the moving image side of the business. Her speciality is film production and she has an MA in Media Arts Royal Holloway, University of London.
Her role in ASC is to take care of the video art production side and is heading one of our fabulous World Design Capital 2012 art projects by artist Tuomas Aleksander Laitinen called Helsinki Underground.

Päivi Korppi – Producer

Päivi is in charge of our cultural productions. Her aims are to create new opportunities for art-makers. She has trained as a textile artist and worked in the interior textiles industry for over six years prior to changing careers.
Her interests lie in the whole field of art but specifically in fine arts, craftsmanship and design, mixing different art forms together.

Hash recently joined the team to add his international touch on the operations at ArtShortcut. His experience in photography, graphic design, branding, marketing, online media and numerous management skill sets, adds value to the proposition and service levels offered to our clients and artists.

Sami Lehtinen, Production assistant

Sami joined the ASC team in January 2012 to get experience in his new chasen career. Sami is currently applying for different Arts Management degree programs. His specific interest is in music and visual culture. His arts management career has started off with researching – among other things – Nordic design communities, storm shelters in the US for an arts project and film festivals around the globe for our partner Art Film Media Ltd. He is also working on our Smart Design, Smart process conference and exhibition.
